How To: Reinforce A Junction Box

The problem I encountered was a loose junction box. The previous ceiling fan had mounted securely, but this new one relied on the junction box for its main support, and I needed to resolve this issue before I could confidently rent the room. The thought of a heavy, spinning object not being securely installed above someone’s head wouldn’t sit well with me. The video below outlines what needed to be done.
