Range Hood Buying Guide

Range hoods, like this one from Zephyr’s Roma collection, eliminate the microscopic food, grease and dirt particles that can remain in the air during and after cooking on the stovetop.
We’ve all strolled into someone’s home while they’re cooking dinner and been slapped in the nose by an amazing smell. There’s nothing quite as enticing as being in a kitchen with wonderful aromas wafting around in the air.
But do you know what else is wafting around that’s not so appealing? Microscopic grease, dirt, and food particles can become harmful, especially to our older and younger friends and family, as well as anyone with a breathing condition. And if you’re entertaining guests at your home, the odds are high someone within your walls can be affected by poor indoor air quality.
Range hoods are the best, safest, and most capable way of eliminating food particles and maintaining a healthy kitchen. If you don’t already have a range hood in your kitchen, it can make all the difference in the world.
If you already have one of these marvelous fixtures: Welcome to the new generation of range hoods.
Today’s range hoods are more powerful, durable, and efficient than ever. Modern range hoods incorporate stylish European design and cutting-edge technology. Stainless steel construction makes cleaning a breeze, and range hoods are available in a few mounting styles: under cabinet, wall mount, island, and downdraft (although this style is used less and less frequently).
If you host dinner get-togethers and your kitchen lacks a range hood, you owe it to yourself (and those around you) to shop around for one. If your kitchen has a range hood and you think it could use an update, it probably could.
Until next time, Happy Home Improving!
